Best of Boyfriend Jeans

Boyfriend jeans offer a roomy alternative to skinnies and are an extremely comfortable, ultra-relaxed and a funky vibe to a tomboy look. Some styles are slim fitting and are virtually cropped skinnies. Others are roomier on the hips and thighs, but fitted on the waist. For a flattering figure slim style, structured boyfriend jeans are best. If you really want the boyfriend jeans trend and are happy with a little figure flattery, go super baggy this is my favourite with lots of rips.

How celebs rock boyfriend jeans

Most of my boyfriend jeans are baggy and loose and are best worn with a belt. Front tucking a top works well for boyfriend jeans too. Roll up the hem to the length that you prefer. I like some a little shorter and some longer.  Boyfriend jeans are typically quite faded and distressed, but come darker washed and distressed too and the more rips the better I say. I love to wear mine on nights out with high stiletos, a plain tee and blazer. More casual looks for sunny days I wear them with flats. Here are some of my fave looks.

The Stunning Stella and Dot

Last Thursday night I was invited to the Launch of Stella and Dot at The Greenhills Hotel Limerick. All I heard was the word “jewellery” and I was there!! Who doesn't love beautiful jewellery. I got the chance to hear about the company and how it was started and I was able to try on some very fabulous pieces. I left a very happy girl with a goodie bag that had a beautiful bracelet in it and I also won a fabulous necklace.

Here's a little insight into the company.  Stella and Dot originated in San Francisco and it creates opportunities for women around the world. It has finally hit our shoreline and Limerick has its very own fabulous stylist Emma Mullane. Stella & Dot’s pieces are designed by New York-based designers. If you haven't already heard about Stella and Dot, now you will start to see it everywhere - The Real Housewives of BeverlyHillsRevengeKeeping up with the Kardashians and Gossip GirlAlso in the pages of fashion magazines Grazzia, Elle and Vogueto name but a few. Not only that, celebs love Stella & Dot too. Reese Witherspoon, Sofia Vergara,Selena Gomez, Katherine HeiglKaty PerryJulianne Hough and all of the Kardashians  - the list is endless. The opportunity to work as a stylist for Stella & Dot is a fantastic one for today's modern woman. You get to meet new people while having lots of fun, wear fabulous jewellery and earn some extra cash.Their stunning jewellery and accessories line is available at what they call Trunk Shows, which simply involves your local stylist – in this case, Emma – coming to your house and setting up a display of products as seen in the picture below. She also provides Look Books which detail every product available and you can order anything you like from this Look Book. There are no limits! If you want to host a Trunk Show, contact Emma on her website www.stelladot.ie/emmamullane  all you have to do is invite your friends, and sit back and let Emma do the hard work! You, as hostess, will earn product credits and free gifts, all for just hosting a girly night in your home. What’s not to like? Any of you ladies could do it and here's how. To become a Stella and Dot independent stylist all you need to do is contact Emma on her site. Its a great company to work for with lots of fabulous perks.

The thing I most liked about the company is the versatility of the pieces. They have extenders for those who like their chains a little longer. They do a chain called The Sutton that can be worn five different ways. This also comes in a variety of colours as seen in these pictures.

The Sutton Pieces

My favourite piece has to be The Pegasus. A striking bib of intricate gold feathers hand sewn to silk organza cascade. Made entirely by hand in India taking two days. This piece has been seen on the necks of Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and also on Gossip Girl.

The Pegasus

As well as stunning jewellery they also do bags, scarves, phone covers, candles and many other fab pieces. Take a look at the website or even better try a trunk show like I'm doing!! Just remember contact your limerick stylist Emma Mullane at

Enjoy shopping

A Fairytale of Fashion

Red Valentino is Valentino's sister, more contemporary and still pricey but more affordable line. Inspired by Hansel and Gretel, the Autumn/Winter 2013 designs fuse folkloric prints with girlish silhouettes and super-short everything. It's signature pieces include embroidered jersey t-shirts and tulle party dresses for the younger, while all still showing the Valentino sophistication.

Top 10 Fashion Trends for Autumn/Winter 2013

Like every season comes and goes so does fashion and with each season comes new trends. It's all about what key pieces to invest in to make your wardrobe more suitable to the new season. So to make your shopping a little easier I've picked the top 10 new season trends.

1 Pink

Pink is the colour of Autumn/Winter, from dusky pinks to flirty fuchsia. It's going to be a must have for the season. So go all out girlie for winter.

2 Oversized Sweatshirts

Sweatshirts are in and bigger is better. Wear it with a pencil or full midi skirt which are both key to this season. Or just pair with your fave boyfriend ripped jeans and stilettos for a casual but funky feel.

3 Shine

High shine fabrics are still on trend through to Autumn/Winter. H&M have this amazing pink midi skirt already giving you 3 key trends in one. Pink, midi and high shine. Wear this with a plain tee and statement necklace or a sweatshirt for a cute feel.

4 Animal Print

This is one trend that won't die. Weather it's a funky clutch, stilettos or boots and even just a hint of animal in a skinny waste belt for those who don't dare. Animal print is here to stay. Loving these stilettos from River Island.

5 Florals

Flowers have gone all dark for winter. Bright blues and vivid reds against darker colours will bring a hint of spring into your winter months.

6 Leather

Autumn/Winter catwalks went crazy for leather. Wear a funky leather dress to take u from work to night. Or if you don't want to leatherise yourself too much try a pair of leather shorts.

7 Camouflage

Camo is big next season coming in silk and feminine feel materials. These fab tops are by a Danish label Baum Und Pfertagarden.

8 Houndstooth

Wear houndstooth in a cute dress, skirt or jacket to keep with catwalks of 2013. Zara as always are bang on trend with this cute dress and cosy jacket online now.

9 Investment Bag

Bags are the most used accessory you will ever have so why not invest. My fave Autum/Winter bag is The Big Crush in heart print calfskin for Burberry. I love everything about it from the size, the colour and cuteness of the heart animal print bringing in another trend of winter. It also comes in a cute clutch.

10 Tartan Punk

Punk rules the runway this season, so go crazy for leather and tartan with studs and boyish boots. Rock this look with a bit of denim and tartan skirt. As always Zara is bang on trend. Loving this tartan mini.
